location, cleanliness and friendliness
The noise from outside traffic, was terrible. The bathroom was way too small and the cold seeped in through the closed window. Also it was way over priced. Overall, I did not enjoy my stay. I travel to Tokyo frequently and this was the worst stay yet.

Pleasant and Reasonable Hotel

Staff, Cleanliness and Short Distance from the metro
I stayed by myself in this hotel and it was quite an interesting experience. When I read the reviews saying that the rooms were quite small, I did not take it seriously enough but when I got there I got a dose of reality check as even though I was a lone traveller, I had JUST enough room to fit myself and luggage in (On that note, I don't recommend taking a big luggage). As for the staff, they spoke good English and tried their best to help in whatever way they could. Whenever I asked for the room to be cleaned it was cleaned immaculately. Overall, a good hotel for a single travellers who don't intend to bring/take a lot of things.

It could have been better

Newly refurbished. Next to Metro. HD TV images.
Checking in was rather cold & unfriendly. The service was not the typical Japanese that I would expect & they are not accommodative. Window was not sound proof. Ambulance with loud speakers in the wee hours of the night would affect light sleepers. Location next to Metro has pros & cons. Pro is convenience. Con is noisy at night. Toilet is super small. Not suitable for Bigger Size Persons. Housekeeping did not clean room on 3rd day. We had to make up 2 rooms by changing bed sheets & pillow cases ourselves. Front Office staff delivered clean pillow case & bed sheets to our room after we feedbacked. The reason given was our door signages were "DO NOT DISTURB". We are particular about cleanliness & were very sure the signages were "Please Clean Room". When we arrived at our room after 12 midnight, we had a hunch that the rooms were not made up since the signages was "Please Clean Room" and was not reposition inside the room door knob. To be sure that housekeeping clean the rooms, we reminded a Japanese lady to so. We would NOT be back to this hotel again in our next trip. Nor their chain of hotel.

the worst staff performance that I've experienced
My stay there couldn't be worse. Their staff is really inefficient in terms of responding to customers' basic request. Here is my experience. After I've contacted the front desk 3 times about the low room temperature, they were still unable or unwilling to turn on the heat. I was so pissed off that I went to the front desk at 6am in the morning because it was so cold. And the lady there promised that they will send someone to fix the heating problem in my room during the day. However, nothing has changed when we went back to the hotel at night. So, I called the front desk again! And, a guy told me that actually they turned off the heat on purpose because most guests in their hotel complained about it was too hot. So, if the guy was not lying, then there was obviously some technical problem with their heating system. What's funny is they decided to turn on the heat and piss off most guests in the hotel after I've complained 5 times.
