Unique stays along the Garden Route

The hiking trails were great, worked up an appetite for breakfast; do the dinner meal, English traditional, they even ring the dinner bell; peaceful
9.3
Just what we needed after a drive from Cape Town. Friendly staff and good, traditional country experience. We recommend a minimum of two nights, one is not enough to get your money's worth. Traditional English meal serving, dinner bell rings at 7:00 with last seating at 7:45 in a great dinning environment- privacy but with your extended (stay) family. A day trip to Mossel Bay and the shoreline fits right in as would a trip into the mountains. But watch out for the baboons along the road.

Friendly staff

Friendly staff, almost quiet surroundings, cheap food considering its location
6.7
We had high hopes, from the reviews online. But it was okay. The inn is in between Outdshoorn and Mossel Bay, and if you do not want to go out for dinner, you do not have a choice but to dine at their restaurant. Food was okay and took a bit longer to serve. Staff were friendly though. From our room, you could sometimes hear automobiles on the road in the middle of the night.

"Hotel = immaculat but surly staff"

Everething spic and span
5.7
staff were "robotic" as though guests are a hindrance to be endured.most staff (local) service = 20+ years at the hotel and it shows - has lost the family appeal.management was nowhere to be seen. not even hullo or goodbye. best appraisal: nice but impersonal
