If Only!

Location, staff
I found the room I was placed in appalling. It was far too small and much to be desired!!

Standard Hotel and clean

Friendly staff, Quite and Clean
Good location and nearby all the famous place such as "Spanish Step" walking distance in 5 minutes. Easy to locate the food surrounding the hotel and also near to the Metro Station with 10min walking distance.

Great times in Rome

Centrally located, easy access to main places/attractions in Rome, friendly staff.
The Elite hotel was our initial choice for accommodation whilst in Rome; however, when we arrived, they told us that our bathroom has a leakage so they booked us in a sister hotel called Accademia, which is 3 minutes walk from Hotel Elite. We were quite disappointed, but it's better than having a leakage bathroom. Hotel Accademia is quite old, but the staff were very friendly and helpful, and most importantly it's centrally located - just right behind of the Trevi Fountain. It's suitable for travellers on city breaks and aim to only explore the city.

Do not stay in standard rooms

Friendly and helpful staff
We originally booked the standard rooms which were an absolute disgrace. They were extremely old, small, bleak and dismal. Most backpacker hostels in Asia were better. We upgraded to the superior rooms(recommended for extra 30euro/night) which was much more spacious, clean and new. Very appealing at the difference between the two room. Also urine leaked out from the superior room toilets which forced them to close our room and move out. Also the Internet wifi broke down for most of our stay. Rating: 6.5/10
Travel tip: Pay to upgrade to superior room

nice welcome but misleading pictures...

good location, warm welcome
'hotel' is a flat cut into rooms with a front-point; rest is within a slightly decaying buildling and rooms are too small. A hotel to go and crash, not to stay and enjoy. Sad breakfast as far as contents and location both are concerned.

Not great

Good location
The location of the place is not bad, very near to the spanish steps. However, still quite a walk from the metro if you're carrying luggage. The lobby is nicely renovated, but once you step out of the lobby into the rooms area, it is very very old. Lift was tiny, and we got an old room. It was very run down. Toilet was the worst, the bath tub was very small and cramp and dirty, so showering there was quite a problem. Will not recommend if you want a comfortable stay.
