Nowhere near 5 star

Cleanliness, comfy beds, nice pool
If this hotel had only three stars I would say it was great. But, as it stands it is badly over-priced. The hotel was almost deserted and the two times we had dinner in the restaurant, we were the first people in for a while. The food was a bit of a disaster, we were served under-cooked chicken and very under-cooked and untrimmed squid at the hotel bbq. The fairly expensive cheese and ham toasted was underwhelming. French-fries were great, Cambodian curry was tasty. Breakfast was 3 star - the fruit juice is not fresh, the fresh pineapple will strip the skin off your tongue, for some reason they put sugar on the honeydew melon which gives it an awful texture. Check-in was very easy, the staff are lovely but not many speak English. The toiletries were half used and remained so until they were removed, then they were replaced. The hotel is quite a way out of town, but that is easily solved by taking a tuk tuk wherever you wish to go, but at six dollars return to town, it adds on to the cost of the room. The hotel building itself is beautiful, the grounds are immaculate.

Nice Hotel

Comfortable, Luxury and Spa
Feel great and wonderful staying. The room is big and there's a special deco when you stated there's a special occasion you would like to celebrate for. It's a bit far from the town area/night market but there is a free shuttle at 6p.m and coming back on 9p.m

Underwhelmed, not 5 star

Stunning entrance, great spa and close to airport
Bit disappointing. Overpriced, very expensive food and drink with average quality food, miles from anywhere, staff English not so great, really noisy busy breakfasts which looked huge but were not great quality. Drilling and banging on Sunday at 7am. Drilling during the day round the pool. The sky bar was closed as it was low season. The tour desk looked at us blankly when we asked about flight if the gibon tours and then proceeded to have 3 calls with the company giving us very wrong information birding in incompetence / nonsense each time as to costs, children ages allowed, Angkor day passes included or not and so on- rubbish considering it is a major activity / excursion. The hotel is 98% Chinese guests, no problem for us but just letting other travellers know. On the plus side it looked grand coming in, the rooms where Pretty good with nice TVs. Low season price was competitive with our family in adjoining rooms. Overall it's miles away from the action, overpriced food and drink, you have to pay 15% extra taxes on everything as it is rated 5* and it definitely is not five star ! Would not recommend and would not stay again as better exists in Siem Reap.
