A beautiful experience

The design, the concierge, the furniture
Truly 5 star experience from start to finish. We arrived late and felt in awe on first site, but at ease from the moment the bellboy took my luggage. All staff were warm, welcoming and professional and non more so than Mr. Nim, the concierge who made us feel like presidential guests.

Find somewhere else

The lobby and room were filled with Mosquitos. When we asked them to come spray, a staff member came with a can of raid and sprayed a few spots then left. Mosquitos continued to fly around the rest of the night. We requested a triple but they said none were available, when we booked a second room to accommodate the third member of our group, we requested the closest possible room. After paying for the second room, we went up and discovered it was a triple. We didn't bother complaining and instead laughed it off as just being taken advantage of as tourists. After paying for two rooms, the staff still proved themselves to be rude, incompetent and completely unaccomodating. To be clear, the facilities are by no means 5 star either. Maybe 2-3 star but with high ceilings in the lobby for effect. Beds were rock solid but at least we had 5 beds to choose from for the 3 of us. At checkout we were charged for both the room service we did order and a few bogus charges. I paid in full for the room service in cash but declined the bogus charges since they didn't have my credit card or any foundation for the charges. Ultimately they dropped them after they realized I wouldn't blindly accept false charges. If you're in Siem reap, chances are you're only there once in your life and only for a few days max. I recommend staying somewhere that will make it a good memory as Empress will not. The locals are all amazing people so I have to assume they import their staff from somewhere else.

It does the job

location, reception, staff friendliness
Fairly average for a five star hotel but good value for money. Staff were always polite. Far too many group tour Chinese people for our liking, breakfast time was mahem with rude pushing and shoving but overall not a bad place.

did not like this hotel
it was awful, they forced us to pay for nee years buffet which was not clearly stated on website, they did not pick us up at airport, then lied to me and said i did not request it, the food was no big deal, the breakfast you had to fight your way to eat or get a seat

Strange rules,and hotel regulations

pool okay,
I had the empression, that the staff in this hotel had to work to hart and under strange regulazions - felt sorry for this people. The room I had was not 5 star at all.

Five-star hotel in Seam Riep

The room is very monumental, as well as the interior of the hotel
The hotel located between the airport and the town. Transfer was reliable. Not far from the temples. The hotel building is beautiful, the room is furnished with wood, very monumental. The hotel grounds are very nice. The stuff is friendly and mostly useful. At the moment we came there was a renovation in the spa. The new spa is beautiful, but it didn't work. But, I guess, we were the only who asked about it at all... The massage is very expensive for Cambodia, but we haven't tried. The food was mostly good, but not up to 5-star, in our opinion. During the dinner there was a life music, we liked it very much. Kindly, the stuff provided us the check-out two hours later. Overall, we were very satisfied with this hotel.
