Quiet getaway place

quiet location, great pool, comfortable
For a quick weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life it was adequate. The quiet and provincial air of the location was exactly what was needed to re-charge our energies.

not so pleasant

great location near the beach, easy to locate and the food was ok
1) swimming pool's floor is made of sharp stones thats cause everyone who swims there some bruises and cuts. 2) Upon arriving at the hotel, i paid for additional room for an unexpected guest and yet upon check out they still asked for the payment. They are not organized. 3) I paid thru Agoda for three rooms and upon check in I surrender the voucher but upon check out they were asking me to pay for the three rooms and when i told them that i booked theu agoda they said they lost the voucher. So i send them thru email the voucher that agoda send me. And after that, the front desl still insist that i need to pay for the three rooms because I have not paid them and only Agoda. They're very stupid. After a long argument the front desk talked to the manager and returned to me that it was paid already. Grrrr. 4) Upon check in they ask me if we have a senior citizen for the food discount, so i gave them the Senior citizen ID of my mom and they photocopied it. Then upon check out they forgot to deduct the senior citizen. 5) I had an early check out at 10am but finished the process at 11:30am coz they are very disorganized

Nice beach&pool but be prepared to become hungry

pool, beach, comfy beds
- the beach was nice and loved the fact that waters are calm and clear - nice pool but the edges and the pool steps are too sharp - it takes forever before the food becomes ready; the food are delivered in batches and you need to wait approx 45minutes before the next set of food is delivered - our bathroom stinks

It was comfortable and relaxing.

The room was clean, comfortable and quiet - good for relaxing.
The hotel was easy to find since it stands out from a distance. It had big rooms with big beds that made us (family) able to be together in one room.

disappointed. the beach is not nice.

the room and the view.
We paid more thru agoda than booking directly to Estrellas. The beach is not nice. The pool has very sharp flooring that my kids suffered numerous cuts on their legs and feet.Ive been to a so much better resort in Laiya. Its a waste of money.

relatively pleased

good security, fast reservation processing
relatively pleasant table sitting for dinner is disorganized. people should not be allowed to get in the restaurant without specific tables ready. i like the pool and the beach

Good enough for a day trip

Hotel is near the beach, swimming pool is a good size, staff are accommodating
Our stay was just ok. The room was good except for the bathroom which is poorly ventilated and stinks even if you spray deodorizer. The beach is quite rocky so we'd recommend just swimming in the pool. The beach front was not well kept and my son stepped on a rusty needle. The staff was quick to administer first aid but we still had to bring him to a hospital afterwards for a tetanus shot.

Bad service, Bad Rooms, Bad Decision

Nothing. Nothing. Nothing.
I've stayed at quite a few hotels, good and bad, but this was the worst! Never going back there again! The staff is not friendly or helpful and make you feel like it is an inconvenience to do their job. In addition, compared to the other resort we stayed at, they do not have transport to and from NAIA -- so how are tourists supposed to visit the resort again? Thank goodness my parents retired back home and were able to arrange a driver for us at the last minute. One good thing that happened was that we got to transfer rooms, although it wasn't much better. Our first room was full of moths and ants! Not only that, but the previous guest smoked in the bathroom. You know what they did to resolve it at first? Spray the bathroom with air freshener. (What?!) So we got to switch to another room after notifying the front desk. As we took our luggage to the new room, we saw dead moths littered throughout the hallway! Doesn't anyone clean? Our second room was okay, although there were ants crawling into the room from the patio. It was difficult to call the front desk, however, since our phone line was dead! We had to fidget with it until you got a dial tone. Overall, a hugely disappointing experience considering it is a fairly new hotel. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money. If you do, don't say I didn't warn you.
