Location-close to the train station (15 min walking), and also very close to Mirabell Garden
Room is a bit small for me
This is a 4 star hotel that's close (within 15 min of walking) to the train station (since a lot of people in Europe travel by train, this might be an important factor). The other hotel I see is the Ramada (Ramada is just outside the train station). The Crowne Plaza is also very close to Mirabell Garden. From Mirabell Garden it's just another 10 min to most of the tourist destination in Old Salzburg.

Excellent and helpful staff, rooms were very clean and spacious. Very close to all the sites.
We like the Crowne plaza the best among all the hotels we stayed at during our recent trip to Europe. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very helpful. We were upgraded to a suite since we had a 2 yr old as well. The hotel is very close to mirabell gardens and is only a 10 minute walk to the town. Street parking was easy as well, and the weekends are free all over salzburg.

It was a straight forward choice for us. We stayed here at a compedative rate. The rooms were clean and tidy, the staff were helpful. Large Hotels like this are best used by business travellers. I would try to find something a little more rustic if I was to go back on holiday again. Still no complaints.
Shopping Tip : There is a food market down the main street towards the old town which is good value for money.

Close to Mirabell Palace - spacious room.
Level of cleanliness not up to scratch.
The hotel is close to the station (walking distance) but also reasonably close to the centre and very close to the MIrabell Palace and gardens. The rooms are spacious. We were first shown to a smoking room even though we'd asked for non-smoking. The feel of some of the rooms is that it could do with a thorough clean (sinks not 100%, sheets not squeaky clean..) but otherwise it was very nice.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Walk to the beautiful Mirabell gardens and try to get a concert in the Mirabell's Marble Hall.

The service of the hotel staff, friendly and efficient. Most of them can also speak English. The room was very nice and comfortable with all the amenities available. Parking garage is nearby, just across the hotel.
Parking garage is nearby, just across the hotel however there is no lift to the garage. Be prepared to carry your own luggage if you tend to park your car first.
I would definitely recommend this hotel. Location was quite centralised. Most of the highlights of the city was within walking distance. Upon check-in, the staff will provide you with the city map and recommendations on where to visit. The hotel was very well maintained. Breakfast spread was excellent however a bit on the pricey side.

Friendly staff. Pleasant spacious rooms. Safe in the room.
Actually no, except that the car in a parking garage should be located near the hotel.
Crowne Plaza is a pleasant hotel where you will receive friendly and very correct. The rooms are neat and equipped with all comforts. To the "Old Town" to come, you walk a little way quarter. The breakfast fee of 15 euros, which is a buffet is a great choice of fillings, dairy and even "english" breakfast is possible. My overall impression is very positive in this hotel I would definitely recommend to others.
Restaurant Tip : On the Old Town, many nice restaurants.
