Located in a location close enough to the sites to be considered convenient, the low-priced NH hotel is a great choice on the cheap. The rooms and suites are spacious by European standards and feature the full range of expected amenities as well as high-speed wireless internet access. A nice variety of restauarants are located within easy walking distance including the popular culinary delights at Barenwirt. Out of the way, but worth it...

We enjoyed our stay at the Carlton as it had a reasonable sized room and good breakfast facilities and good quality food/selection.
The staff provided us with solid information about the area including the touring sites and dining choices.
The hotel is located out of the main tourist area (15 min walk) but provided us an opportunity to better explore the area on foot.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Be sure to check out the nearby Mirabell Gardens

NH Carlton Hotel
Easy access and really nice breakfast

The hotel is not too difficult to find, but getting a daily bus ticket for transportations is recommended. We stayed in a triple room which provided a private room plus sofa bed which is surprisingly comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was a simple but very enjoyable.
The only thing is that our room was facing the main road so we could hear the traffic early in the morning.
