Airo Tower Hotel, Vienna

I must say that it was one of the worst hotels we had ever stayed in Europe. First of all, the walls of the room were paper thin, and we could hear everything from the next door. There was a huge group of tourists checking in at midnight, and they were so noisy that we could hardly sleep! Secondly, our TV did not work, so we asked the housekeeping to come and fix it. It was rather late at night, so they said they would send someone the next morning at 9:00. Nobody came. We waited until 9:30, and called again and told them to come and fix it IMMEDIATELY, but again, nobody came! Furthermore, every morning at 8:00 the housekeeping staff opened our door without knocking, which was really annoying. (There was no "Do not disturb"sign to hang on the door!) Also, the floor was never vacuumed or swept during our 5-night stay, and even the glasses (for the mini bar) were never washed or changed!! I do not think we would ever stay at this hotel again, nor would we recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel is located in the spa district of Kurzentrum Oberlaa, about 30 minutes away from the city centre using public transports.(Public transport system in Vienna is efficient and very easy.) Breakfast buffet included in the rate is average. Cold meat, bread, cereals, yogurt, eggs, sausages and can fruits were offered. Hotel reception staff speak good English, is all extremely pleasant, helpful and friendly, The rooms are not very clean and in very good condition, just average. It seems that they have a problem with their cleaning personal, so it can happen that your room doesn´t be tidy on some days. Airo Tower Hotel is a very large hotel and visited through large groups of tourists. Thats why you have sometimes to wait long time in the morning on the elevator.
