Simple but good hotel with good breakfast

the hotel external wall is all covered in ivy, giving it a nice appearance. we booked a triple room which was very spacious as well the bathroom. the area where the hotel is located is more residential thus it seemed a bit quiet, but it was a short walk from the votivekirche, rathaus and from there we walked pretty much the whole city.
the staff at the reception was nice, but do not expect a technician to explain how the remote control works, toiletries or room service - the hotel doesn't have these luxuries/ amenities.
the breakfast is nice, with cold meats, cheese and a good variety of breads, spreads and cereals. the decor is old and simple and if you are going with a couple of friends or with someone you don't need to impress (for romance for example), the hotel is pretty good for £71 with breakfast included. i would not recommend if you are going to stay indoors, because there’s no fancy in there.
Travel tip:
taxi is pretty cheap around the town and if you are in a party of more than 2 adults, it is worthy to grab a cab from or to the airport (prebooked).
the best sausage stand is the one located on albertinaplatz between the albertina museum and the stadtopera.

this hotel has a good location ,by tram D you can get to the main places to visit.
the rooms are big and clean the brakfast is great with a big selection .the staf is very polite and helpfull.this located in a small street so during the night you can sleep well.

hotel oozes old world charm.
no airconditioning but a fan is provided.
extremely difficult door lock to open and we were not the only ones having problems.
breakfast is good and included in the tariff.
hotel staff are pleasant and helpful.

Good basic budget hotel, conveniently located
Quiet street, free internet, easy access by tram or bus to downtown.

the room was clean, service was friendly and helpful and the location was convenient for all of my meetings in an around the headquarters of opec. this would also be a good location for visitors interested in sight-seeing, as it is close to museums and many of the city's oldest buildings. breakfast was basic but acceptable, and included in the price of an overnight stay. no other meals are served in this hotel, but there are several family-style trattoria within easy walking distance. my stay this time was in summer, and the room had no air-conditioning, but an electric fan was provided and kept the air moving efficiently.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Buy a Vienna card at the airport or at hotels in the capital. It allows you 72 hours of unlimited riding on the city's trams, buses and metro, and provides discounts at many restaurants and attractions. You also get a discount on the CAT train (city centre to airport express).

The harmonia hotel - Wien is the best place to stay
the neighborhood is calm and near the important places to visit.

the breakfast is very rich; fruits, bakers and pleasure place to start the day.

The hotel is close to the centre of Vienna and well located for the city's excellent public transport system. It is modern, with well-appointed rooms and public areas. Everywhere is spotlessly clean. The staff are efficient, knowledgeable and friendly, and the service outstanding. The hotel provides a substantial breakfast buffet. I rate the Harmomie A+ on all counts.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Take the number 40A bus to Schottentor metro station and use Vienna's excellent subway to explore the city. You will be at any place of major interest within minutes.

Vienna's Harmonie Hotel delivers value for money
The friendly staff, the free wireless internet, and water pressure capable of filling a bathtub in two minutes flat.

This hotel, managed by the Best Western group, is located on a quiet side-street, two tram stops or about 15 minutes' walk from the Schottenring, which forms part of the perimeter of Vienna's First District. As such, the Harmonie provides a convenient alternative to the pricier hostelries within the perimeter of the old city.
Like other hotels in the Best Western stable, the Harmonie provides clean, basic accommodation run by cheerful staff. Breakfast, included in the price of a night's stay, is not fancy, but is varied enough to satisfy.
Other meals are not served on the premises, but excellent pasta and grilled dishes are available from the trattoria up the road.
The hotel's funky four-person lift could be a minor problem for guests with especially large suitcases.
Travel tip:
The hotel is close to bus and tram stops. For visiting the old city, the D tram is your best bet.

Very well located hotel. Close to tram "D" which goes through the inner city and stops at railway station. Helpful and pleasant staff. Rooms are really spacious and everything is clean. Recommended especially for families with children. Few good restaurants "Centimeter" are located nearby. Breakfasts at hotel were fresh and a plenty of choice. We really enjoyed staying in this hotel.
