Great location for touring and shopping in Vienna

We liked this hotel as it was close to the underground and had a great layout for us and our teenager. It was our first trip to Vienna and this was a good place from which to explore the city. The refrigerator in the kitchen was not working optimally so we were limited in what we could store ie drinks were slightly cooler than lukewarm. We asked two times to have it looked at and the setting was changed but nothing happened. We think it needed to be defrosted as the tiny freezer area was iced up and melting steadily with the tepid temp. Hopefully will be fixed for next guest. The front desk was helpful with all of our queries. We did not use the restaurant as the price was a bit high when not included with the room although the view up there is nice. There are many restaurants and a great Mercure grocery store nearby so we were happy to eat out or in our room. The fitness "facility" is tiny but clean. Only two machines and a sauna.

Hotel is located in the midst of Mariahilfer strasse which makes high street shopping very convenient.

the location of the Attersee haus NH hotel is very good in the famous shopping street in Vienna, I highly recommend the hotel for shopping tourists. The hotel room is equipped with a very old TV and you can't connect your notebook to the TV. the rooms and the whole hotel is a little shabby and needs renovation soon. I liked the rooms are big and specious. Even you booked the room for 2 person (but only one person stayed there) the cleaning staff remove the second bedding so the bed looked empty and strange. The internet is free but not working in the evening, after i payed the internet it was not working either because it depens always on how many people using it that lowers the performance.

the hotel is in a very good location in one of the most famous shopping streets in Vienna, there are many restaurants and shops in this street. I can recomend this hotel if you come without car because there is no parking area except you pay for the garage EURO 20,--/day. The hotel room is equipped with a very old TV (not flat) so you can't connect your notebook to the TV for Skype or VD conference. The internet free of charge was not working and even i payed it was not working either.

Though the rooms are in need of a makeover, the location & affordability made it worthwhile. I enjoyed my stay, the roof-top breakfast and friendliness/helpfulness of front office.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
When connecting from the subway to the express airport train in the city (CAT), ensure you go the right way off the subway platform. It was not clearly signposted, so better just ask a local which exit is the best. Also return ticket on the CAT saves you €5 :)
