Metropole Hotel Brussels Info
The impressive beauty and charm of the 19th century Metropole Hotel makes it first choice for many of Brussels returning visitors, particularly business travelers. The recent renovations took great care in preserving the original style and charm of the original furnishings, while adding a full array of modern amenities for guest’s enjoyment. The grandiose, arched entrance is only the beginning to the grand architecture that the hotel is famous for. Fine dining is provided onsite in the splendid restaurant complete with many antique decorations and is a popular venue with many local residents and diplomats.

Great Location, very reasonable rates, room upgrade, free mini-bar items,
Lobby internet access was a little too expensive as were drinks in the hotel lobby bar.
The Metropole is a very nice "old world" deco hotel located in a good location convenient to the Place de Brouckere Metro. The antique lift in the lobby was aesthetically pleasing, but somewhat of a pain to enter and exit with bags, but only a minor flaw to an otherwise nice experience.
Nightlife Tip : Check out Belga Queen Restaurant, rue du Fossé-aux-Loups 32, and have a drink in the cigar bar vault in the basement.

Friendly staff, good decoration.
Metropole has the most polite staff I met at this trip. The location is excellent since it is close to most actions. Food is pretty good. The elevator is very interesting. It is a good choice if you get a good price. They are the only hotel at this trip which offers some complimentary drinks.

Excellent service, spacious and very comfortable room, abundant buffet breakfast, good location, and unique atmosphere.
Old lift is beautiful but not practical, it stopped a couple of times. While not a big problem it was annoying.
The Metropole is a well renowned and established hotel in Brussels. It was not the first time I stayed at this hotel. The service is excellent and staff superb who will help you with anything you need. The room was very spacious and comfortable and had all one needed for a pleasant and enjoyable stay. The overall ambiance of the Hotel is second to none. The terrace bar is also a well known meeting place in Brussels. The Hotel is also located in a good area and a few minutes walk from the famous Grand Place and where all the restaurants are.
Shopping Tip : The street behind the hotel is the main shopping street in Brussels. You can shop til you drop and have no problem carrying your purchases back to the hotel.
