What a disappointment, we had to change rooms as the room offered to us was very dirty and not renovated. The hotel generally made a poor impression, the bathroom was quite small - the tiles were cheap and old - the bathtub was broken. No separate shower. The room was small. Breakfast was quite expensive and not good. Even if you like atmosphere - rather choose a different place - definitely not 5 star standard and poor value for money. The hotel needs to be renovated.

A luxurious hotel with elegant decoretion

This hotel is a luxurious hotel, 5 star, located only 10 meter away from metro exit of De Buckere station. 15 minute walk to grand place. The hotel was what we expected, high.. quality linen bed and sheet, bath room with tub, with high quality bath amenities. But its price was pretty high.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
15 minute walk to grand place where you can enjoy lots of shops and interesting places including restaurants.

one could not imagine a more sophisticated place to feel completely taken care of, right in the center of the excitement of brussel's historic center. i felt surrounded in luxury, and in good company with the signatures of opera stars and movie stars who had stayed there. staying here was like being in a paradise of fine arts, fine food, and fine people.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
From here I was guided to daytrips to local cities, an easy and exciting adventure away from Brussels.

this hotel is well located and has a beautiful original art nouveau style interior in the common areas: the cafe is a paradise for people who enjoy looking at art nouveau /art deco interiors. the lobby and corridors are also very nice looking. rooms are fairly newly renovated, the buffet breakfast served is excellent with a good selection of breads, cold cuts and juices
Hotel Feature Tip:
If one really wants to splurge, go for one of their suites to feel like royalty!

The hotel interior is beautiful, the rooms are super-elegant. Chandeliers and bathroom are exquisite! Free coke, water and beer are provided in the mini-bar. However, there might be some glitches with the elevators. Breakfast is usually not included in the room rate and is quite expensive, 28 Euro. It may also be difficult to get through to a concierge on the phone, e.g. for a wake-up call.

We loved this hotel with its traditional style of service and the overall ambience was great.We thought the breakfast a bit expensive but you can eat out the front at the cafe for half price. Overall a great stay and would stop here again
