With it's blend of heritage and tradition with modern standards of comfort and convenience, Casa Marcello Hotel is perfectly placed for exploring Prague. This charming, small hotel is housed in a restored 13th century monastery located in the city's Old Town, just steps away from Wenceslas Square and Charles Bridge. There are just 26 rooms, each individually furnished with antiques, artwork and traditional furnishings and fabrics. The atmospheric restaurant, complete with stone-vaulted ceilings and Czech-style wooden furniture is named after the famous St Agnes Convent and serves a diverse menu of Czech and international cuisine.

Well located a little away from the madding crowds

Casa Marcello is a small hotel tucked away from the tourist crowded streets but in easy walking distance from the action when you want it. It is low rise and has its own small plaza. Staff were helpful and there was access to a PC in the foyer. Buffet breakfast was excellent with a very good choice of food.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Go for a walk to the castle via the park and forest - great view of the city.

A Hidden Gem

Casa Marcello was lovely!! It is a five minute walk from the centre of the Old Town but set in a back street where this is NO street noise at all.
The room was large, clean and comfortable. The internet was a bit slow but worked fine. The television - large and flat screen- had more channels then in most 5 star hotels.
Breakfast was extensive for a small hotel. The highlight was the chocolate covered bananas.
Restaurant Tip:
Try the Prague Beer Museum pub a couple of blocks around the corner - the best of Czech beer on tap at reasonable prices.
