staff and location great! rooms only mediocre

on arrival the hotel was easy to find, centrally located and surrounded by many restaurants and attractions! however the room quality are not as high as the pictures and descriptions describe. they were still fine, just water stained roofs, squeaky hospital style single beds, a shame when your travelling with your partner, and other guests smoking in nearby rooms which reeked in common hallways even though the floor is marked non-smoking.
staff were extremely polite, spoke english to an exceptional standard and the complimentary breakfast was a real treat.

located just of the old town square this hotel was great for seeing all parts of prague. walking distance to just about everything. hotel staff was very serviceminded and helpfull and breakfast was good. the hotel is settled in 13th century house which made it unsufficiently soundproof. nothing major but with room located just above the entrance my father awoke when people entered at night. other downside was that wifi didn't work.

Staffs service would be the main reason for me to choose this hotel again. They speak English that communication is not the problem. They are helpful that repeatedly give us hot water when we continually asking during three days stays.
Breakfast quality is also good. Different types of delicious hams, cheese, bread and cereals that you should not feel boring in every morning. Home-made cakes also sold in hotel, hazelnut one would be recommended to try out.
The main entrance is not obvious, but you will find it is convenient to the sightseeing area when you got it.
Restaurant Tip:
Trdelnik is highly recommended for bread lover. It is a kind of bread, sharp like hollow. There are different favor for you to choose, such as peanut, cinnamon. The surface is full of sweetie sugar while you can also add chocolate inside. It is extremely delicious

highly recommend hotel with superb location. it's just a few minutes walk to power tower or old town square. the food stall at old town square is surprisingly good! especially the ham and sausage
service in hotel is excellent. staff are very helpful and nice.
i enjoy a lot in this hotel. don't miss out the jacuzzi bathtub in their deluxe room!!! it gives you a total refresh feel after a hot bath with your favourite scent
one minor thing, no water bottle to boil hot water in the room. it's not convenient to walk down to the reception area at night, especially under the freezing weather

The staff at the Hotel were exceptional and were very polite and helpful.
However the hotel is Very, Very basic in the rooms with no separate shower facility.
The beds were singles which were pushed together and very , very noisy !!
The TV was very old with very poor picture quality and little choice in what you can watch.
There was no radio in the room which would have been appreciated.
No Coffee or tea making facilities in room which forces you to purchase refreshments
The four star rating is not as UK standard but this said it was clean and friendly but we would not be looking to return . Double Superior would not be my description of the room (Basic to say the least!)
The Airport transfers were easy to arrange.
