This striking budget hotel proves that good design and a good nightly rate needn't be mutually exclusive. Located just outside Prague's city center near the residential area of Zizkov, the Apollon Hotel is a 15-minute tram ride from the Old Town. Fully refurbished in 2008, the hotel is a tribute to monochrome with chic black bathrooms, clean white rooms and vintage floral stencils adorning the walls, the hotel's cooked breakfast served in its new minimalist dining hall. The tram stop is just opposite the lobby and guests will find plenty of local activity: shops, bars, restaurants, all within walking distance and all without the hefty tourist tariffs of the city center.

Very good service at the hotel; nice people at reception ready to help and answer question any time. We had nice, clean, litle bit smaller room, but it was all we needed even I can't imagine it during hot days at summer as 4 aircone boxes were at balcony.
Travel tip:
Old part of Prague :-)

very friendy staff, good location if you party in o2 arena or go sightseeing in old prague

nice rooms, new bathrooms, very clean, very helpfull&flexible personall, wifi problems on top floor, very socialist/east block-ish breakfast buffet
Nightlife Tip:
O2 arena is 5min with cab away....old prague center is 5min with cab away....tram station is 50m away from hotel....

Das Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb der Innenstadt, ist aber mit der Straßenbahn recht gut zu erreichen. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön, mit einfachen, aber trotzdem schönen und neuen Möbel ausgestattet. Die Straßenseite ist etwas lauter aber die Innenseite absolut ruhig gelegen. Das Personal war etwas gelangweilt, das ist aber landestypisch, in einem noblen Hotel ist auch nicht besser. Für eine Kurzurlaub ist es immerhin noch empfehlenswert.
