Good hotel if you travel with many people

the atmosphere in and around the hotel was not what we expected. we therefore cur our visit to the hotel short. although we booked for 4 nights, the hotel had no problem checking us out after one night. that is of course a big complement.
the reason why we did not like is had probably more to do with taste than with service or quality, but that being said, the hotel can use an extra layer of paint here and there.

DGI Byens hotel is always a reliable, friendly place to stay. The staff is professional and helpful, the facilities are family friendly, and the breakfast buffet is the best in Copenhagen. If you don't mind noise from the nearby central train station, you will have a great time at DGI Byens Hotel. Of course, you can always pay extra for a more quiet room on the side of the hotel which faces away from the train station.

Das Hotel ist Teil eines Gebäudes, das als Schwimmbad bzw. Bowling-Center genutzt wird und von daher recht ungemütlich.
Die Zimmer wirken sehr steril und sind für den Preis (Euro) sehr wenig einladend. Wir hatten sogar die "Superior"-Kategorie gebucht, in der Hoffnung, ein wenig Komfort bzw. Romantik zu erleben, aber Fehlanzeige: einfach nur steril und ungemütlich.
Das Hotel verfügt auch nicht über wirkliche Doppelbetten, sondern nur zusammgestellte Einzelbetten, obwohl man das auf der Agoda-Seite als Sonderwunsch angeben kann...

sehr zentrale Lage - nah am Bahnhof - sehr sauber, Eingang etwas versteckt, das im Gebäude-Komplex eingeschlossene öffentliche Schwimmbad läßt sich (Zusatz-)KostenFrei mit benutzen.
Leider keine genauen Angaben/Unterlagen über Hotel und die Einrichtungen, Öffnungszeiten und Nutzungsmöglichkeiten im Detail - auch beim Einchecken keine Info über gekürzte Öffnungszeiten des Schwimmbades wegen "Ferien" ...
Essenszeiten sind unbedingt einzuhalten - ab Ende direktes Abräumen der Auslagen - und das waren ja eh nicht viele ...
