Savoy Hotel Copenhagen Info
The Savoy is a historical hotel and considered an architectural gem with its Anton Rosen art nouveau style.
Built in 1906, it is one of the few remaining buildings still in this original style. The front facade contains artificial sandstone, wrought iron, copper, and gilded ornaments. Inside, the gorgeous main staircase contains detailed stucco. The hotel was listed as a historical building in 1985. This beautifully preserved building contains six floors and 66 rooms with private bathrooms. The rooms are light and airy and designed in Scandinavian style, with blue carpets and wooden furniture. All rooms face the courtyard and have wireless Internet. If this wasn't enough, the Savoy is only a few minutes walk from the Central Station, Tivoli Gardens, and Strøget, the longest shopping street in the world. Experience the historical side of Copenhagen by making your stay at the legendary Savoy Hotel.

Friendly reception.
Convenient location - close to shops and central station
Breakfast average.
Rooms quite small and rather old.
Expensive for the standard of the hotel.
My husband and I stayed overnight in Oct08 at the Savoy Hotel for a short weekend trip. The hotel was not a far walk from the central station so it was very easy to get around. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. However, we found the hotel rather old and rooms quite small, especially the bathroom. This was disappointing given the price we paid.
Overall, the stay was pleasant.
Hotel Feature Tip : Exchange Danish Kroners at reception without commission
