Kolding Fjord Hotel is magnificent, and has an impressive façade out to the fjord, and a great "outdoor space" between the main building and the annex behind the back. The interior is tasteful, modern Danish design.
Varying the standard in rooms. Contemporary Danish design can also mean little Spartan and bare, but functional. Maybe a little worn anywhere. We've been there three times now, and the rooms in the main building is the least attractive, something small and dark.
You're in a good mood to arrive Kolding Fjord hotel. Location down to the fjord is very attractive, and the facade is beautiful, with the staselige main building with a large terrace to the fjord, and the cellar is beautifully laid out as an arch under the terrace. There are leafy with walkways for fine walks. The restaurant has an excellent cuisine and its wine cellar and is not so expensive for a nordmann.Betjeningen is friendly and efficient. The hotel has a swimming pool, but we have never felt the need to go into, because of the attractions there. It is nice to sit and watch the traffic on the fjord, from ships to the rowing boats.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Great place for an overnight stop en route from Norway and the south if you are using a car. Also good for recreational opportunities due to foot and comfortable stay in beautiful surroundings.
