nice old hotel with atmosphere

really liked this hotel. were in the old building thankfully not the modern part at the rear. room had plenty of character with dormer window and sloping ceilings. very comfortable, roomy and the bathroom was well appointed. staff were really pleasant and friendly. breakfast was very good - great variety of cold and hot dishes. spas free for hotel guests.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
if staying more than a couple of days you'd need to hire bikes or a car. the town is only small so not many tourist attractions apart from the bishops castle/museum

We were given an upgrade to the Opera Suite in the hotel´s new wing. Room facilities and comfort were good, but the charcoal-coloured walls and overall dark tone didn´t please both of us.
The hotel restaurant served good food, but became crowded due to large tour groups. It´s worth booking a table.
The hotel has a small. well-maintained sauna, both wet and dry style, that can be used without charge by hotel guests.
