Bearing the name of the capital of Switzerland, this perfectly-situated hotel offers traditional excellence with modern amenities at local prices.In one of the best preserved old towns in Europe, major sights include Raekoja Plats (Town Hall square), the town walls and towers. During the reconstruction of the Great Coastal Gate in the early 16th century, Fat Margaret was added – a round tower, with a diameter of 25 meters and a height of about 20 meters – that owes its name to the fact that it was the stoutest tower in the city wall.
The 13th-century St. Olav’s Church once boasted the tallest spire in the world. At 124 metres, visitors are rewarded with a magnificent and dizzying view.Visitors shouldn’t miss the Old Hansa restaurant which features a nightly venison dish in a medieval setting.

Service was superb, location great and staff attitude was impressive!
The hotel had only one parking slot. Breakfast selection could be better.
We visited the Bern Hotel between October 14-16, 2008. In spite of being very small, the hotel can boast excellent customer service and great location in Old Tallinn. The rooms were non-smoking indeed. Breakfast could have been more diverse, but you definitely don't stay hungry. Excellent value for money spent!
Shopping Tip : Drinks at the Rimi supermarket across are much cheaper than in the hotel.

Location and friendliness of staff
We've been very pleased with our short stay at the Hotel Bern in Tallinn. The staff was welcoming and very friendly, helpful and smiling. The rooms were simple but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was well stocked and good quality with a discreet but efficient service. If we were to return to Tallinn, we would not hesitate to stay again in Bern hotel.
