With both the train station and a tram stop just outside, this hotel is perfectly placed to explore the gems of historic Tallinn.Take the number one tram to sightsee outside the centre to Kadriog Palace which Peter I begun constructing in 1798 in honor of Catherine I. This grandiose palace and surrounding manicured gardens are an example of Tsarist extravagance but now the former palace houses the foreign art collection of the Art Museum of Estonia.In few places in Europe does the aura of the 14th and 15th centuries survive intact the way it does in Tallinn's old town where visitors will find a jumble of medieval walls and turrets, needling spires and winding, cobbled streets. Popular local bars include Hell Hunt, Karja Kelder and the Beer House. Visitors should try the Olde Hansa which serves medieval food and features canopied toilets. Another not to be missed is Cafe Kehrwieder with its warren of cavelike rooms.

The location is just a few hundred meters outside oldtown. The view from our room was grate towards the trainstation and Toompeahill. The rooms were vey warm although it was -10 deg. celsius outside. There is nice cafeteria and a marketplace nearby. The tram station was also just outside the Hotel, so it was easy to expolare the the Town a little further.
The hotel is small without luxury, but the staff is friendly.

Pieni, edullinen, kotoinen hotelli.

Siisteydessä toivomisen varaa. Roskakori oli tyhjentämättä edellisen asiakkaan jäljiltä. Lattia narisi aika lailla. Yhden hengen huoneissa voisi olla hieman pienempi sänky, niin huoneessa mahtuisi paremmin olemaan.

-riitti meidän tarpeisiimme, vain yksi yö ja suurin osa ajasta vietettiin kaupungissa
-auton sai säilytykseen lukitun portin taakse

-menisin toiste mutta en kuumaan kesäaikaan huoneen kuumuudesta johtuen, ja tarkistaisin siivouksen tason
