Located in the heart of the city, this hotel is within easy walking distance of the historic attractions and offers comfortable rooms with modern facilities. The Arthur Hotel in Helsinki is very close to the central railway station and only a few minutes’ walk to the famous theaters, museums and shops. The nearest metro station, Kaisaniemi, is only a two minute walk away. The hotel, enlarged and renovated in 2007, has large, elegantly decorated rooms with hardwood floors, well maintained bathrooms, satellite TV and broadband internet access. The Restaurant Arthur serves excellent Finnish and international specialties and the hotel includes two private saunas.

Close to the city centre. Room was warm.

Room was like a backpakers , single bed,TV was too small,bath room was old fashioned and the restaurant was horrible. I didn't like the breakfast at all.

I wouldn't stay there if I new the truth of this hotel.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : There was a casino on the way to the station and it was fun thought was bit small. I would recommend to go to the shopping malls in the city centre such as Stockman,Forum and Kamppi.

central location, close to station, pleasant staff

old fashioned, small rooms, noises from outside main street; 10 Euro to expensive, especially in back-end, compared to special offers better hotels in the same area, narrow, winding corridors create claustrophobic feeling

Located close to the railway station and air bus terminal, Arthur is seemingly attractive. However, one should carefully compare prices, especially in the week-end, when superior hotels in the same area offer much better standards for the same price. Arthur is rather over prized, especially for rates for a Standard Room. The place is clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. However, the overall appearance is very dated in colors, furniture and the narrow, winding corridors make you even more aware of the age of the hotel. Rooms are rather small. Facilities and equipment work properly and rooms and bathrooms are clean. The outside noise from the main street however is rather disturbing. Breakfast is ok but not for the price or higher, especially not in the week-end.

Restaurant Tip : The Irish Pub around the corner is great with live music most of the evenings. For fish restaurants try the harbor but check prices first!
