Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

simple budget hotel in the city centre
very good location and easy connection with the airport
6
The hotel is old and gloomy. The furniture in my room was old, curtains very dirty and there was no design or decoration to the room so it felt austere. The breakfast was OK. The staff was very friendly and spoke perfect English. I recommend this hotel for budget travellers, who need easy access to the railway station in Helsinki and to the airport.

Great location, nice staff
Staff were very helpful, central location, good breakfast
9.3
The staff at the hotel were very pleasant. I arrived on an early morning flight and while they didn't have a room prepared for early checkin, they looked after my bag and suggested some great things to do while waiting. In the end I was able to check in an hour early. Breakfast was sublime. My room was a good size, clean and warm. Free wifi. A very pleasant stay. Price was a little high but not when compared with most other accom in Helsinki.

Good city location
Very well maintained rooms and excellent breakfast.
9.3
this is a very good budget to medium priced hotel. the room i had was nice and warm (it was -8c when i arrived) and in excellent condition. the breakfast was exceptionally good and ready on time. lunch is also excellent and very good value if you choose to have it there. the staff are friendly and helpful. transport, namely the metro, trams and buses all close by. there is a short-cut to the hotel via a tunnel at the northern end of the central railway station which is very handy if it is cold or if you have a suitcase. the finnair city bus from the airport to the city centre is very efficient, every 20 minutes and on time and very good value at a cost of only 6.20 euro each way.

Small rooms but nice staff
Dinner was very cheap at the hotel restaurant
6
since i was travelling alone and only needed a room for one night, i chose arthur for 60€. the staff was very friendly and lication ok, but the rooms... not ok. very small room and especially the shower! i am very small myself but even i couldn't use the shower curtain because it took too much space from the tiny shower corner. the restaurant was a little bit shabby and had an odd smell. but the fish soup was great and only!
if you're looking for a cheap room and don't have any expectations, i guess arthur is your choice. but next time i will definitely spend more and choose another hotel.

Rundown hotel but nice breakfast
6.3
Bedroom was OK. Overall, for American standards this hotel was rundown, and below average.
The elevators where antiquated. And the overall appearance of the hotel was not very nice.
The room was OK. And the breakfast was nice, but that was about it.

The hotel has a great location, and is within walking distance to the Central Station, where you can take buses, trains and even trams to other parts of the city or country. It is also within walking distance to most of the sight seeing attractions, and of course shopping complexes. For those who like walking, you will find everything easily accessible. And for those who don't, there is always the tram, namely 3B and 3T, which are nice routes for sight seeing.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Everything is easily accessible by foot or by tram.

Good value.
Friendly, helpful staff. Great location.

Maybe I should have rated this hotel a 5 for location. It is a ten minute walk to the central train station, major shopping and a wide selection of bars and restaurants. Very good value for money. This was obvious when I observed many middle aged Finns staying here on their trip to the capital. Staff was very helpful in giving me the location of jazz clubs, making dinner reservations at very good Finnish restaurant and just generally very pleasant.
Restaurant Tip:
There was a great bar only a block away that had over one hundred kinds of beer including about twenty different ales.

Friendly, Accessible Living
Accommodating staff! Great location.

The hotel is located in a central area in the heart of downtown Helsinki. The best feature is the staff, who are quite pleasant and knowledgeable. The hotel is accessible to the local bus transportation,a nearby park, and shopping area as well as the main train station. I love the fact that you can walk outside your hotel to the Esplanade, the arts,a book store, the waterway and a great variety of dining choices in a matter of minutes!!
Nightlife Tip:
Storyville!! Restaurant and Jazz Club!
