I was a return guest to the Scandic Grand Marina becuase it is a nice hotel in a very convenient location and a very helpful staff, especially if you are baffled by the Finnish language as I am. The rooms are very nice but a bit spartan for the hotel's level of rating. However, that is very Scandanavian The hotel is located a block from the waterfront and close to many of the historical and religious sites that tourists usually take in. There are excellent shopping and a wide variety of restuarants very close also. There are always taxi's in front of the hotel and the public transit is close and direct to such places as the main railway and bus stations. A large and excellent breakfast has been included in each of my stays and I believe it is standard.
Travel tip : The ferries to the beautiful walled city of Tallinn depart a short walk from the front door of the hotel.

Nice sauna on the ground floor and a gym.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The Icebar down town is something everybody needs to see. Just a 5 minutes walk from the hotel.

Large hotel not far from the quay. Stately appearance, the rooms are clean, one floor cafe-bar, equipped and Bagejjirumu, a luxurious breakfast, no complaints at all. Above all, generations of high summer in Helsinki hotels, single room Euro for one great price. I do not really care because I love to walk, the ferry port, from the tram stop is felt somewhat distant. But it has visibly.
