Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

The hotel is very convenient because it is right where the train station and the bus terminals are. That was important because I was traveling to Finland in the middle of winter, with sub-zero temperatures every day. The staff was very helpful, and generously gave me a wonderful room overlooking the city center. Every little thing was neat and tidy. I am completely satisfied.

when making a booking it goes without saying ,you get what you pay for.I noticed a remark when I booked that the rooms were small.so I booked a larger room at a small additional price.
Plenty of eating places and grocery shops nearby.
Airport bus across the street, also train station.
I would stay here if I were to visit this city again.

Great breakfast and convenient location
easy to find, free wi-fi, supermarket and department store in same building

this was my first stay in helsinki and this hotel is so centrally located it wasn't really necessary to use public transport at all. it's just across from the railway station and so was easy to get to from the airport bus stop - which is great when you have a lot of luggage. the room (single) was small but as i was only sleeping in it that fit my needs. it was very clean and quiet and the hotel staff were always available and helpful, answering my questions and queries. the best thing for me was the buffet breakfast with a big selection of fruit, salad, breads, cereals and cooked food. that really set me up for the day. all in all, it's great value for money and i would definitely stay there again.
Shopping Tip:
Below the hotel is a department store and in the basement is a supermarket - great if you want to buy a picnic and save on the expense of eating out.

perfect location! right in the centre of everything. staff are very nice... bathroom pretty bad... reliable wifi, pretty annoying having to log on every 24 hours with a new id though.

easy acces from the airport. take the finnair bus to get to the city, it stops at central railway station then get off the bus, you are just standing in front of the hotel. stuff are frendly, the room was like spotless clean, breakfast had a wide range. I would stay there again.

Vaakuna Review
location, friendly staff, amenities, communications
8
The hotel is conveniently located being very close to the train and bus stations. The facilities are good with good clean rooms that have extensive views of the city skyline. There are bars and restaurants adjacent to the entrance to the hotel plus an exclusive hotel restaurant/bar on the 10th floor. On my arrival late in the evening I enjoyed a meal in this restaurant that gave this hotel a plus point as I could have been declined due to the late hour. The only issue that lets the hotel down is that the breakfast menu is not that extensive
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The city is very accessible to tour either from walking, taking the tram or even cycle around. Access to the main ferry ports is good where ships sail to Stockholm and Tallinn

Balcony on the top floor.
9.3
Location, interior, services were excellent.
I will use this hotel again, but I would give up my private balcony to avoide noise from the restaurant.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Very close to Ateneum. It opens at 9 when other museums and shops are still closed. And almost nobody is there this early. It is a special feeling to be in the empty art museum.
