Paolo S. Couples Italy, March 29, 2013	Nice comfortable stay in rainy Avignon spring charme, comfort, cleanliness 7.3 We had a good stay at this hotel. The hotel has lot of charme and we were in a nicely renovated and spacious room in the historic section of the building. It was nice to spend time in our hotel room during the unexpectedly cold spring weather. We did not try the restaurant because it was being renovated. Maybe because of the renovation the breakfast buffet was a bit poor for a 4 star hotel (no hot food, eggs, meat or chees).

The old building is beautiful. 6.3 We were put into some sort of annex, the room was spacious, but very dark, there was hardly any daylight. The bathroom flooded every time we took a shower due to a strange design of the bathtub. We tried to upgrade to one of the magnificent rooms in the old building, but it was not possible (although the rooms were not occupied and we were willing to pay) The staff were very blase.

Couples Australia, October 06, 2012	Great Hotel Bad Restaurant Comfortable, great location 7.3 we had a great stay, even if it was short. the restaurant looked wonderful so we booked in for 8:15pm. the second we got their we felt as if we were intruding on their space. the waiter was rude and simply wanted to get the service out of the way as soon as possible. the wine waiter was so poorly trained he did not know how to extract a cork from a bottle of wine. the blame for all of this lies squarely with the management of the restaurant. in such a classy hotel this restaurant stood out as 'faulty towers'. the substantial price of the meals made this place the worst value for money we have experienced in 36 years. Restaurant Tip: Don't go their.!!!
