Within a short walk of the Grotto, these newly renovated apartments allow guests the freedom to fully self cater. Ideally suited for families who want to save money and have extra space at the same time, the Residence le Mariale provides self-contained apartments with all modern amenities. It�s a ten-minute walk to the Grotto at most and on the way guests will discover an endless array of shops, cafes and restaurants, plus get to enjoy the ambience and views around the riverside. Each apartment consists of a kitchenette, bathroom, bedroom and living room with pull-out sofa and for those staying longer than five days the Jacuzzi and sauna are free.

Clean and well kept rooms, a good walking distance from almost everything from the Sanctuary to a supermarket, in an area that is not too crowded and noisy, a good sizeable room with cooking facilities
I would not recommend the hotel to those who dislike walking or have trouble walking
If you are looking for a hotel that is away from the major crowds, but not too far from the Sanctuary itself, the Mariale Hotel could be the place for you. Located a few minutes away from the main bars and restaurants, you will never be far away from a place to eat and drink. The hotel itself is also about a 10-15 minute walk from the Sanctuary itself, thus if you like walking, this is a good place to stay.
Equipped with a kitchenette, the hotel has the factilites for one to cook if one decides not to eat at one of the many restaurant in the vacinity. Finding a reasonably priced supermarket is another story, but as mentioned before, if you like walking, you will soon find one, or two.
The washing and sleeping facilites were very good, well kept and clean, and the reception staff friendly and welcoming.
The hotel and its location ensured we had a good first time stay in Lourdes, and we are definitely considering coming back in the near future.
Shopping Tip : Do not be enticed to shop at the first grocery store you see. Take the chance to look around and you will soon find a place which is not too far from your prime location and is reasonably priced.
