Good hotel in the centre of a major renovation
location and helpfull staff

The hotel has a mini bar and a nespresso machine which is unusual for hotels at this price level.Only problem is a slippery bathtub with no non slip mat.Breakfast is fine.Marseille is a wonderful city but as the entire vieux port area is under renovation until end 2013 you might want to give this area the slip for accomodation

Location in the historical center, just 2 minutes to the Port and boat to the Chatou D"IF, rue Canabiere , Musee Mode...

You are in the one of the best location in Marseille, you can go to harbor in 2 min to get the most famous spot of this city; and the room is quiet old, but very clean and cosy, especially the bathroom is very fit with my expect. Breakfast is ok, but not too recommend.

A good place to stay in Marseille if you want to be within walking distance to most of the main attractions. Rooms are of a comfortable size with a Nespresso machine one of the highlights, however the coffee is not free. The room is well decorated and the bathrooms are immaculate. Views from the hotel rooms leave something to be desired however.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Take a walk up to Notre Dame de la Garde, its not as far as it looks and can be done in about twenty minutes if you follow the signs.

New Hotel - Vieux Port, Marseille

This property is ideally located at the mouth of Marseille´s Old Port. It is adjacent to a subway and within a couple blocks of the tram. At the same time, it is a 15-minute walk from Saint Charles station (main train station in Marseille). Virtually all tourist attractions are within walking distance - or within very easy reach on public transportation. Staff members go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. By French standards, the hotel breakfast exceeded my expectations. Standard rooms have good size - particularly the bathrooms that have nice tile decorations. I really can´t say there was anything that I did not like!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
When you are finished touring Marseille, you will be wise to take day-trips to attractive locations like Arles or Aix-en-Provence. Both are less than 1 hour by train from Saint Charles Station. If you arrive in Marseille by plane, you may wish to ride the airport buses into the city (buses run in both directions every 20 minutes).

chambre donnant sur le vieux port pour les plus chères avec une magnifique vue
petit déjeuner sans interet
pas de parking dans l'hotel mais a proximité dans un parking public tres peu rassurant

bien placé pour visiter Notre dame de la garde la Cannebiere
et manger sur le vieux port
