This plum-colored 19th Century building offers comfort and charm in a quiet side street in central Nice. French window shutters and vivid patterned rooms characterize the Boreal Hotel, positioned just off the busy Avenue Jean Medecin. Place Massena is a short walk down this avenue and the Promenade des Anglais and pebbly beaches of the Mediterranean are just a little further. Rooms are sound-proofed and air-conditioned and bathrooms modernized with proper wall-mounted showers over the baths. In Nice, however, location is all-important and the Boreal has one of the best spots in town: quiet enough to ensure restful slumber yet close enough to the beach, shops and nightlife to get the real Riviera vibe. The trams and train are also close, so guests can avoid spending Euros on taxis.
