Wonderful hotel with excellent location

The hotel was absolutely fabulous! So good in fact, we cancelled our rooms in Paris and remained in Nice for 3 extra nights! The hotel is regal and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast buffet was excellent....in short, we had a wonderful time and will definitely go there again. We have already recommended this hotel to all our friends on Facebook.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Nice is in an ideal location on the Cote d'Azur or French Riviera. There is the old village of Nice with its wonderful market shopping and old churches, etc., to visit. Leaving Nice on a day trip is easy and very inexpensive. For one Euro, you can take a bus that takes you all the way from Nice to Monaco. If you do, you must stop and see the medieval village of Eze. Perched at the top of the mountain, it is absolutely stunning! You can also live out your James Bond fantasies with a trip to Monte Carlo in Monaco. Don't forget to bring your passport and do visit the palace of the reigning prince.

The Westminster was in a nice area, right across from the beach. The rooms themselves were a bit dated, but the general appearance of the hotel on the whole was pleasing. The staff was most helpful, and the business center provided free internet.

I was disspointed in the condition of the room for the price paid. We made the best of it because of the "pros" [location excelent, staff good]. One plus of the room is that we had a balcony and the air conditioning was satisfactory.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Plan to pay for use of the "private beach" approx 45 euros for two for the day [chairs, towels and umbrella]. 5th floor front [ocean view] rooms include a small balcony. Downside of the 5th floor is the worlds slowest elevator which is a burden because of no air in common areas. Location is excellent though. Visit Queenies for a terrific breakfast.
