A charming, family-run hotel that was once the home of the Marquise de Maintenon. The name of the Aviatic Hotel comes from the pioneering aviators of the Issy-les-Moulineaux airfield, who stayed here in 1912, and today's guests are treated to the same elegance and gentile ambience of times gone by. The 43 rooms and suites of this historical hotel are superbly appointed and feature elegant decor by Pierre Fey and Lelievre. Located in the heart of the Saint German des Pres district, between the Champs de Mars and the Jardin du Luxembourg, the hotel is set back slightly from the hustle and bustle of Rue de Rennes, and is a stones throw from the chic and trendy boutiques that the area is renowned for. Exploring the rest of Paris is easy, with the nearest Metro station just down the street, and the area well serviced by taxis and buses.

Couples Australia, May 02, 2013	Updated hotel -close proximity to Paris highlights Comfortable bed; clean presentable hotel (appears recently updated); good staff 7 We didn't spend much time in the hotel, but when we were there we enjoyed the ambience, in room WiFi, complimentary wine &nuts in the lobby area in the early evening, & the small ounge area near the lobby. Also liked that the luggage store area was locked & secure as we left our luggage both prior to checking and departure. The area of the hotel wasn't picturesque, but was close to transport and areas like Luxembourg Gardens and St Germain which was great. We had come from an apartment in the Marais, which has more of a village / historic ambience and quaint little streets.

Couples United Kingdom, February 23, 2013	Great hotel with very friendly staff Staff were very helpful and approachable - they were even willing to help me improve my French! 9.3 The hotel was very comfortable and was in a great location for seeing some of the major sights of Paris. As it's close to lots of metro stations and the SNCF train station the journey from CDG to the hotel was easy and getting around was simple.
