The Cervantes is housed in the eight district of Paris in a nineteenth century building. Inside however, guests will find a cool chic nightlife vibe. The hotel is only a short walk away from the St. Lazare subway station. The Eiffel Tower is just two metro stops away, and though the hotel is near a train station there is not much disturbance to the guests. From here, you’re also minutes away from great nightlife, restaurants, and attractions. You’ll feel relaxed and rejuvenated in the hip rooms which feature flat-screen TVs. After a day of exploring, head back to the hotel for cocktail hour.

it's Ok for the price we paid

The hotel is in an old building which is not close to the train station but it is about five to ten minutes walk to the metro station. It is in a quite area and may not be good for waking at night. The room was very small but clean and reasonably comfortable. The hotel staff in the front desk seams lack of attention to the hotel guests. In general, the hotel was considered Ok for the price we paid. If the hotel staff could learn the basic grating skills, we believe more business would be generated by the hotel.

We arrived at around 9 in the morning and though the check-in policy of the hotel was 2 pm, we were able to get our room as it was already ready. This means that staff are flexible, as compared to other hotels we have stayed in where they are strict as to their check-in policy even though the room is already available.
Secondly, we were surprised to see the room size when we arrived. It was spacious (when compared to others in Paris), has a balcony, minibar facilities, very new furnishings, and impeccably clean. The bed was comfortable. Maybe the only negative is the sound-proofing, as I can hear the lady in the next room conversing with somebody on the phone.
Thirdly, breakfast selection was very good, unlike previous ones I have stayed on where continental only means some coffee, some toast, butter and cheese, and tetra-pack juice. At Hotel Cervantes, you have cold (ham, cheese, etc) and hot (eggs, sausage, grilled tomatoes) selection and an assortment of drinks. Bread were at its best and many to choose from.
Fourthly, the hotel is located very close to a metro station (Rome) that brings you straight to Moulin Rouge, Basilica Sacre Coeur, Arc de Triomphe......and the location is on a quiet neighborhood.
Finally, staff were very helpful and friendly, trusting and kind. My wife and I enjoyed every bit of our stay.
