Very near the Paris Metro (50 m). Very cheap relatively speaking. Nice clean room. English speaking receptionist (although it's best to know some French). Very near to lots of shops for food etc. Great location, one can actually walk from Gare du Nord. First time in Paris, and for a lower cost hotel, this place is fantastic. The receptionist does appreciate if you greet or talk to him/her in French who then will be more than happy to converse with you in English. I have heard about places where people just ignore you if you spoke just English. The room was really nice and clean, wooden laminated floor, and clean beds. Mostly it was how easy to access public transportation. The hotel is just 50 meters away from the Cadet Metro station, which is a direct line to the Louvre. Food is bountiful, there's even a McDonalds just beside the Metro (not that you want to have McD when you are in Paris). There's also a Supermarche (supermarket) nearby about 100m, where you can get snacks, food, toiletries etc. Water from the tap taste like bottled water (clean tasting), unlike other places which taste like tank water. Breakfast was relatively basic, which I suspect is what French breakfast is like, Coffee with milk, croissant and mini baguette.
Restaurant Tip : If one prefers a lower cost meal, go to the supermarche, buy some packed salad, sandwiches, and buy some fresh croissant from the bakery, and sit in one of the parks and have your own private open air meal. Very peaceful and calming.

Very small room, old and dirty carpet in the room, breakfast very poor, quite cold bathroom. Not comfortable.

Home for breakfast very nice. The hotel was next to the Theater Mogador where we wanted to go. (about 1km) Noisy assenseur down (annoying knowing that there are 5 floors) 2 single beds while we were a couple When we arrived, so we have booked in advance we were told there was no room. They found this strange situation and have finally found a room for us. We were at the 4th floor and the elevator was no longer just aparente since our arrival. People were very noisy doors banging, people talking loudly next to your room ... At 8:30 the telephone rang in the room that we woke up and scared too, 10 minutes after someone tries to get into our room, trying several keys. Finally he asks if there is someone in the room and asked us our name ... Finally a brief history of crazy never seen it, there are memories but not specially good ...
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : We went to this hotel because the price was interesting because of its location. In fact we went to Mogador theater to see the Lion King show was sublime and I advise you to go and see if you have not already done because you spend a wonderful time. In front of the Theater Mogador a small Italian restaurant very nice and affordable (open after midnight so it can be useful after the show).
