The L`Atelier De Montparnasse Hotel offers just seventeen spacious, comfortably furnished rooms, all complimented by prompt, friendly service. The en-suites of these rooms deserve special mention, each one featuring a tiled, mosaic reproduction of a famous painting. The surrounding neighbourhood of Montparnasse became a center for avant-garde artists during the early 20th century, and soon became a popular meeting point for political exiles, poets, writers and anyone challenging the norm of the day. Today, this area retains its bohemian atmosphere and is a great place to grab a coffee and watch Paris rush by.

A local residential feel with easy metro access to more noisy, commercial, touristy locations of Paris. 15 minute subway rides to either Notre Dame Cathedral, Bastille monument, Eiffel Tower, Louve Museum. Staff was fluent in English, very helpful for metro instructions, recommending local bakeries, restaurants, stores and cinemas. Great breakfast but not included in price.

fantastic location close to various metro lines with line 4 (rue vavin) just 30 seconds (if you walk brikly) away. staff speaks good english, is friendly and helpful. lots of restaurants closely, even a galleries lafayette outpost and gare montpanasse (connections to/fro airport possible by air france bus i believe)are within walking distance. smallish rooms and the tiniest lift i have ever been but everything works and the free wifi is great. there is a euro 11 decent breakfast there there are choices plenty outside. i will be happy to stay there again.
