The rooms were compact and not well sound insulated, so ear plugs were necessary for a sound night's sleep. Price-wise it was great for the central location.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
We were robbed within 5 minutes of being on the Metro in Paris. Pick-pockets apparently target tourists arriving at the main stations who may be struggling with their bags.

We booked this hotel which appeared through the description quite charming. For the price we weren't expecting high quality standard but what we got was a nightmare. Small rooms to access through an even smaller staircase on 4th and 6th floor...wonderful with overseas luggage! Toilets not in the room and not on the same floor. No showers in our room. No separate beds for our 17 years old boys! Service extremely unfriendly and unaccommodating. Cleanliness questionable. Misguiding address...it's not really close to Centre Pompidou!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Le Marais is a nice quarter close to the hotel with nice restaurants and galleries.

ON arrival there was dirty linen in the corridors on all the floors
The room was small, bed small and the room dirty. There was a one inch gap at the bottom of the door !
There was no toilet on the floor i was on !

If you on budget, this is certainly the place to stay at. Not far from major tourist spots, very strategic location.
Restaurant Tip:
Le Dindon restaurant nearby offers great French food at reasonable price. The seasonal risotto n roasted duck breast are great. Must not miss it

good location, friendly and helpful staff, but the building is old, so 5 flights of stairs with a suitcase may not be ideal for everyone, especially in the heat of summer. No aircon either, so all the windows round the central courtyard are open, whihc is fine until someone down in the entrance foyer starts a loud conversation late at night!

レセプションの男の人の対応は最悪です。
今となっては、タオル交換は毎日行わないというホテルポリシーはよーく分かりました。
ただホテルに泊まった時はそんなこと知らないし、部屋にタオルが一人一枚ずつしかないため、化粧が少しついてしまったりして結構汚くなってしまっていたので、二日目のタオル交換を頼みにいっただけです、「三ツ星ホテルと勘違いしてもらっちゃこまるね、どうしても交換してほしかったらXXXXXXXX」と早口のフランス語で説明されるは、相当態度悪いはで、何なんだこのレセプションはと思いました。
それだけで滞在中の気分は最悪ですよ。
There was no problem for the first day, we were even satisfied with the size and condition of the room (location etc..)....however, at the second day, the hotel became the worst one where we have stayed before just because of the rude way to the response of the staff.
I'll never stay this hotel.

We chose the hotel for it's location and price. Location was perfect close to Place de Vosges in Marais and price was good. The hotel itself is very basi with toilets and shower in the hall and not on every floor, so you have to walk one ofr more floors up for the shower. The rooms are ok but very basic. They are clean. The corridors look very shabby, I have the idea they are rennovation. I hope because it looks like they neglected it for many years. Donnot go here when you desire a top hotel with luxury rooms but if your budget is tight and you like to stay in a top location and you are willing to give up luxury it is a good choice.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Place des Vosges and musee de Cognac are very nice
