Newly renovated, but disappointing

disappointing. New and looked nice but small. Newly renovated but water already leaked out of batchtub when you shower. The hotel is under renovation. No air-conditioning during my stay. Too hot to close window, too noisy to open. Big flat screen tv but the walls are thin so you will hear next door neighbour talking and their tv programme! Will not stay there anymore.

Hotel was under renovation (was informed to be completed by june 2013).We had newly refurbished rooms which were fresh & modern looking.Location was good as it was close to public transportation.Food outlets were plenty with late opening hours for some.Security of rooms were a concern when we were there as a fellow guest reported losing some valuables he left in the room safety deposit box.

We had a very good stay. Our room was newly refurbished, so everything was new. Hotel is centrally located with the Metro just 2 minutes away. Plenty of restaurants (including Halal food) in the surrounding area. ANd if i you like, you can actually walk towards Notre Dame.
Highly recommend if you just want a room to sleep. Noise is bearable. What do you expect? Hotel is in the city centre.

Room was decent, but they were undergoing renovations at the reception and around (April 2013). Air conditioning wasn't available but not needed for April but will be an issue during summer. Internet connection was nearly unusable, the closest place for interent is at mcdonalds around the corner.

This hotel is still under renovation as of April 2013. I you get a renovated room, it is excellent. However, it is a bit small but being in Paris, thats understandable. Hotel is virtually opposite the Gare De L;set and bus exchange which is very convenient.

Superb location for food! Cosy hotel rooms!

It was our very first visit to Paris and we were there for our Honeymoon for 8 nights. The lobby area was really small with just one chair and the hotel was undergoing some renovation works but we not really bothered with the noise as we were out most of the times. We were very happy with the location of the hotel where it is conveniently situated near the train station, never ending stretch of food places and above all, we love the newly renovated hotel rooms - it was modernly designed and looks oh-so-new! However, it would have been great if there was proper breakfast served. The "breakfast" included was 2 packets of madeleine (cake" and a can of orange juice (minute maid). On some days, we had to request for the madeleine and orange juice to be topped up after our room was made up. (Perhaps the staff had forgotten to do so). The staff were friendly and accommodating, especially Alexander and Christopher. I think the hotel is value for money and definitely would be awesome once the renovation is done for the lobby. We would definitely recommend our family and friends to consider Hotel Libertel Gare de l'Est Francais for their visit in Paris.

It was a quite a nice hotel. The first room we checked into was a bit smelly and they immidiately changed a new room for us which was pretty cool. the hotel is located near to the train station (about 2 minutes walk) and also there is a big bus stop in front of the hotel. the staff was also very friendly and was able very helpful in giving directions and local attractions in Paris. The price of the rooms are also reasonable.
