It's my first time in Paris, and I was glad I booked this hotel. I was looking for location as a no 1 priority as it was my first time in Paris, and I wanted to make sure tourist spots were nearby so that I didn't have to spend a lot on public transportation. The hotel itself scored big on location as the "Dupleix" Metro station is just right in front of the hotel. Eiffel Tower is about 10 mins walking distance away, whereas other tourist spots like Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysees can be accessed from the Metro (roughly about 5 - 6 stations away from Dupleix).
There are plenty of cafe's right next to the hotel and along the same boulevard, there is a McDonald's right around the corner.
I was surprisingly pleased by the level of service given by the reception that day I checked-in. She gave me a map and a guide on where to go in Paris, which places to look out for, etc. Very friendly, and the hotel reception speaks English fluently. The person who works the night shift, however, has a slight problem conversing in English, but not too bad to the point where you can't understand him.
Extremely clean hotel - clean, soft white bed sheets (very, very comfortable) with thick fluffy comforters. Clean bathroom. Very convenient location - located right at the front of the hotel is the "Dupleix" Metro station. Breakfast was also good.
No free Wi-Fi for guests, rooms are a bit on the small side, limited English TV channels.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take the Metro in front of the hotel to Charles de Gaulle Etoile (Blue Line) if you want to visit Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysees.
