Beautiful breakfast spread, good location, close to lots of great shopping and restaurants
Filthy floor (socks turned black on bottoms in 15 minutes of walking) - did not foster confidence in the cleanliness of the rest of the room, smelled of cigarette smoke although I requested non-smoking, card required to activate electricity was broken, noisy street outside.
Great location near shopping and restaurants. This hotel could be much nicer with a little more attention to detail. The carpeting in the hallways was stained and the hard tile flooring in my room was disgustingly filthy. I put on white socks as I unpacked and then realized they had become blackened when I finished. The room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. Otherwise, they put out a beautiful breakfast spread and the staff were very friendly even if they seemed unsure of how to help problem-solve the broken card required to activate the electricity.
Restaurant Tip : Fondu de la Raclette!

- Hotel condition is excellent
- The room is very nice and equipped with everything needed (including airconditioning)
- Nice and helpful staff
- At night the Saint Louis blvd is not such a nice place- with drunk and homeless.
- Breakfast baguet and croissant weren't that fresh.
Generally we really loved the hotel!
It was close to the Republique and the Marais and 5 min. walk from a metro station.
The hotel condition was great, it looked very nice, although the room was small, it didn't bother us at all. Having an airconditioning at July was a great advantage.
Breakfast was very simple but overall nice, the baguet and croissant weren't that fresh.
The hotel staff were very nice, quiet and helpful.
There were 2 things we didn't like that much though:
The Saint Louis blvd. is not very nice at night with drunk and homeless people.
The bed was very squeaky
We really enjoyed our stay and we recommend the Saint Louis Bastille Hotel for everyone who looks for a nice but not that expensive hotel.
Hotel Feature Tip : You can buy a cold, big bottle of water for a very cheap price (of 1.5 euros) at the hotel reception.

The hotel is clean, bright and very near a Metro line. Very close to many very nice cafes, bakeries and restaurants. The staff is terrific. They bend over backwards to help in anyway. The breakfast area was delightful!
The breakfast was adequate, but not what I have found to be the standard in other simlilar three star hotels.
Our stay in the hotel made our Paris vacation complete! The staff was super friendly and helpful. The Breakfast area was very pleasant. The location was very near all typs of services: restaurants, Metro stop, bakeries,Internet Cafes, small grocery stores. The Marais was just a few minute walk away. A good value.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Very easy walk to the Marais. Lots of wonderful restaurants to be found along the way and near the hotel!
