In the heart of Washington Street, you’re on the pulse of the chic atmosphere of Parisian cafes and great night-life. Head outdoors to the Champs Elysees or the Place de l’Etoile, you’re just footsteps away from both. Get around Paris on foot without having to jump on the metro systems. In whichever direction you’re walking, if you’re near the hotel you’re near Paris’s key attractions. And with only 17 rooms here a stay is individually personalized to fit your taste. In fact, on most days there are more staff on hand than guests. The assurance of multi-lingual staff and great reception is always there. Take tea and breakfast in the breakfast room or head out for an early day of sights and attractions, whether you miss breakfast or not there are several restaurants in the area, and if you miss those, room service is available till 11:00.

Well my first good thing about the hotel would be the location, in that it was a short walk to the Champs Elysees which is where I wanted to be on the Sunday morning for the Tour de France to get a good position. The other good point would be the bathroom as it was a good size with a very good shower. The night porter was a very helpful man who was able to sort out any query I had immediately and in a very courteous manner.
The room itself, I did ask for one on a higher floor in order to keep away from the noise outside if possible. This I got on the 6th floor, it was a small room, and requires some paint to make it look clean as there were visible plaster on the walls. The electrics were not very good as the fuses must have blown a few times on one night, and the air conditioning failed on the last night of the stay. Waiting for the room to be made ready was also disappointing as it was not ready till 3pm, though we were told 2pm and then 2.30pm. Whilst waiting in the lobby at 2.30pm we were not offered anything by the staff yet the next day, another guest was offered food and drinks.
Overall I would say that if you are going to choose this hotel then you are not going to get a Four Star hotel. This is a Three Star hotel for the services it offers as the rooms are not decorated very well, and the breakfasts are not varied so much in comparison to other Four Star hotels I have previously stayed in whilst in Paris. Please bear this in mind when making your selection.
However, if you are after a good hotel which is in a prime location, then you would not be in too bad a position here as you are very close to the Champs Elysees and also the Charles de Gaulle Etoile metro station from which you can get anywhere in Paris with maybe one or two changes on the metro system.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : For those new to Paris, when using the Metro/Bus/RER (RER in zone 1/central Paris only)purchase a carnet of tickets for €11.60. This is a ten pack of tickets each usable for one trip, and is much more suitable cost wise than a travel pass.
