This place is a very large hostel with a wide range of rooms in the former DDR district, near plenty of bars and restaurants. A popular backpacker location, the dorms are considered to be some of the best in the world and the bathrooms are stunning for this sort of establishment. Although not in the city center, the features of the city can easily be reached by the nearby metro station. A very popular night club, Elmira Berlin, is nearby and visitors will be privy to the musical fusion that is featured many times per week and tends to cater to younger audiences. Certainly a backpacker location and not at all for business travelers, this hostel is comfortable and well managed.

A&O provide reasonably sized, clean, quiet, new rooms in a nice building complex that has a bar and chill out area very accessible. The train line is very close making it is very easy to get around town.

We had a two person room, which, for the price is what to expect. Clean enough, but basic. Which is fine because, sleep is waste in Friedrichshain.
