Great Location but upstair and down stairs
5.3
It was very harsh for us to take our lagguages to the lobby and our room . The stairs in the hotel is terrible.
This hotel provides free wifi , that's great. If this hotel can check in earlier , it will be more convenience for the customers.

We stayed there for a week and were really glad for the hotel. Location great, the room very good - fine size of room. It was situated at the back so no street noise. The only minus was the people smoking and talking in the back till 1-2 in the night.

Great Hotel & A Personal Favourite
Superb breakfast at only €9 each, good sized rooms, free wi-fi in rooms, nice lounge area, and business pc and printer available free.

This used ot be a much smaller hotel. We have been staying at this hotel since 2001 whenever we are in Berlin which is usually at least twice per year.
Staff can be a bit brusk, but when it comes to helping you with any problems you may have; we have found them to be really helpful.
Staff at breakfast are really friendly and the food choices is really the best I have found in Berlin, in all the years I have been using hotels in what is a beautiful city.
I have had some booking problems in the past, and found the staff on my arrival to be superb in resolving them. This has been due to errors made by the companies I have used to place my internet booking.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
This hotel is in the centre of what was West Berlin before 1989. It is 3minutes from the main transport terminal of Zoologischer Garten where trains, underground and buses can all be found to take you to the main tourist attractions as well of course serving living and working Berliners. Get the bus 100 or 200 from here and you can get to the main places to see, Brandenburger Tor, Riechstag building, Potsdammer Platz, (from here you can wealk to Checkpoint Charlie. The Berlin Zoo is also less than a 10 minute walk from this hotel.

Wonderful location but old rooms
Great location in the middle of shopping area and 2 train stations
7.7
If I wasn't on business trip with a lot of heavy equipments, I would give more scores to this hotel. It's located on an ideal spot near the zoo, two train stations and shopping area BUT there's no ramp for heavy luggage on the main entrance which you have to carry up the stairs one floor to find the elevators. And this hotel was renovated from an old and classic building, that means there are many small steps along the corridors until you find the elevator hidden at the end. Perfect for light travelers, not for those with heavy luggage.
Breakfast is served at the classic restaurant at the corner of the building overlooking the cross of the shopping streets. The food is quite impressive BUT the problem is not enough tables for guests. We ended up sharing a table with strangers.
Bathroom as everything you need BUT very compact. Each room has two layers of entrance doors. My outer room doors didn't close properly. The old wardrobe cabinet is quite old and creepy. It needs an urgent touch up. My room has no fridge so I ended up placing drinks and food near the window for the cool breeze to keep them cold.

Great Location but upstai and down stairs
Location in Kurfurstendam just walk to Ka De WE, Zoological Garden, Sex museum, Train and bus station
7.7
Good in service they 're helping us to bring the luggage upstair
Room was good condition and clean.
May be it is better if the hotel put a removable plate upon the stairs to make easier bring the luggage up & down.
Shopping Tip:
This hotel location is excellent, just walking to the Bus Tour Hop On Hop Off, Shopping center, Souveniers shop,
