Great location with 24 hour gym/sauna

The hotel is located in a great part of town, within walking distance of most attractions such as the Reichstag/Museum Island etc. You can also catch a train to Potsdam from the nearby station (1 min walk).
Only thing that was missing was a pool.

Couldn't have picked a better hotel. It was great value for money and so close to the best Berlin sites. The Brandenberg gate just a 10 minute walk away. Check Point Charlie a bit further down but easy to get to. The room was clean, spacious and had a lovely view of the river. Had a few meals in too and their food is delicious
The Concierge was very helpful whenever we needed help with resturant bookings, location of certain sites and even how to get there by subway or train.
Restaurant Tip:
The Block house just down the road from the hotel was fantastic.

Perfect location to see tourist spots. Trains next door. Good restaurants nearby. Hotel food great. Wonderful service.
Travel tip:
Resonable cab to and from airport. In the center of site seeing. Trains close. Local food and drug stores close by. Perfect location to experience Berlin!

My staff and partners chose to stay here for our bi annual trip abroad. It was perfectly located for a 2 day trip of sightseeing and nightlife. It is a high quality hotel and ideal for business and liesure. We would all use it again and have already commended it to others.

Melia Berlin is an excellent choice for a short getaway. Its convenient location, the friendly staff who went out of their way to accomodate all our requests, the convenient gym and restaurants on site (don't miss the tapas bar with live music on tuesdays & thursdays!), the great views, make it one of the top choices for accomodation in Berlin.

Great location, great stay

We were delighted with our stay at the Melia and with the fantastic rate we found on agoda. I shared a room with an 18-year-old who received the trip as a graduation gift from her uncle, who stayed in a second room. For 2 adults the room was adequately sized, not overly generous but just fine. Our stay was quiet, we never heard a sound from the elevator right across the hall (which worried me at first), and cleanliness was impeccable. The standard room is not sized to spend a lot of time in, but in Berlin that's unlikely anyway. Staff members were all courteous and helpful. We never tried the hotel breakfast, which seemed inordinately priced, but found a great breakfast spot just around the corner on the river, Guten Morgen Franz. And one of the best coffeehouses in Berlin is a 10-minute walk away and serves fine breakfasts: Kaffee Einstein on Unter den Linden. The Melia also has a number of good choices for nice restaurants or quick eats, all within a 5-10 minute walk. In short, being so close to a major transit hub (Friedrichstrasse Station), it was almost hard to believe the Melia was such an oasis of comfort and understated style. One note: Don't count on being able to check in before the official 3 p.m.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The whole Museum Island is about a 10-minute walk, and in the other direction the Reichstag and Brandenburg Gate. Check both out on your first day, and you'll really feel you're in Berlin.

Melia Berlin
The location of this hotel is really great. It is just steps from the Friedrichstrasse train station, as well as not far from such sites as Museum Island.
The room was extremely quiet and the bed very comfortable.

When searching for a hotel in the center of Berlin, the Melia is very highly recommended. The front desk staff was very courteous, friendly, multi-lingual, and able to answer myriad questions. The room was quite comfortable with soundproofed walls. The bathroom was very fine. The only word of caution is that a person must insert the room key in the switch next to the door to get the lights to work. I have stayed in another hotel where that feature was present, but my traveling companions were baffled by the lack of lights. I recommend Melia Berlin very highly.
Restaurant Tip:
GutenMorgenFranz is an excellent place for breakfast and just around the corner on the bank of the Spree River. Open at 8 AM.

Hemos disfrutado a tope de nuestra estancia en Berlín gracias en parte a la centrica ubicación del hotel que nos permitió desplazarnos a pie, paseando y disfrutando del ambiente de navidad que se respiraba aún en la ciudad. La isla de los Museos, el Guggenheim, la puerta de Brandemburgo, Postdamer Plaze etc. la hemos recorrido y disfrutado. Por la noche, la llegada al hotel era reconfortante, y descansabamos placidamente del ajetreo del día para emprender con ganas el día siguiente.
Travel tip:
Disfruten de Berlín y el hotel es un magnífico descanso para el viajero, turista.
