Value for money close to tourist attractions

friedrichstrasse is 1 minute away, and checkpoint charlie is just around the corner. brandenburg gate is 10-15 minutes away, and most of the other major sights are in the same area.
hotel room is big and clean with coffee making facilities, but otherwise the hotel facilities are fairly expensive. we found a number of cafes serving breakfast on friedrichstrasse nearby, and it is only 10 minutes walk to maximillians where we had a very enjoyable dinner.
like a lot of the large german cities, there are very few historic buildings that survived the war. those ones that have been restored are not quite the same. the new central railway station though is stunning.

The hotel is located just steps from Checkpoint Charlie and more importantly StadtMitte U-bahn station on the U2 line. Very easy to get around from there.
The rooms are big and the hotel has good amenities and a decent bar. Only drawback is they charge 20 EUR for a late checkout (14:00 instead of 12:00).

Nice clean hotel

We have a big triple room, nice shower and separate toiletroom. We have stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. The breakfast is very expencive,= per person per day. So we have our breakfast in an conditorei located near our hotel. A small miner was the sofabed. This was very hard. But overall it was a good hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
KaDeWe, Lafayette verry expencive malls. Great Nike store.

The location to all the sights

This hotel is in the most perfect place to visit all the beautiful and historic aspects of this interesting city. It is next to Charlottenstrasse which leads to the Gendarnmarkkt within easy walking distance. Checkpoint Charlie is just around the corner and Friedrichstrasse leads directly to unter den linden with Brandenburg Gate at the top of this street and through to the Reichstag and the holocaust memorial to the left of the gate. The hotel breakfast was very good but if you fancy going out for breakfast there is a cafe which serves vietnamese food on Friedrichstrasse bu they also do breakfasts for 8 euros which are lovely.The mixed breakfast has eggs breads cold meats chesses and lovely fresh fruits and is worth a visit.
Restaurant Tip:
Maximillians is good value for food and is very close to the hotel.

It is very new place and our room is very big and clean. People were very nice and kind. We enjoyed staying at the hotel and we would like to stay agian if we have a chance to go to Berlin.

This was a big clean room close to the metro and great restaurants.
The service was friendly but they didn't exactly jump up to help you. No one helped us with our bags on arrival or departure
