Meet Berlin in Park Inn Hotel, Alexanderplatz
Effective hotel with a central location. Berlin Mitte. Recommended.
7.7
Hotel is very central located close to the famous TV-tower (open for the public)at a living Alexanderplatz. Shopping and monumental places are
within walking distance. The Hotel has several good restaurants, excellent breakfast with a charming and effective staff and a conciergi service who really knows Berlin. Security felt safe and 12 lifts worked effective with good capasity.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Start with a bus guide after that start walking around or hire a bike. A tour at the canals and the Fernsee Turm and dont forget the "Unter den Linden" walk included Brandenburg Tor
Good shopping at closest neighbour to hotel

Stay at Berlin's Park Inn
Location. Friendliness of staff.
10
Everything about our stay at the Park Inn was positive except for the tub/shower arrangement. The tub/shower area was not fully enclosed so water would leak. Water leaked out of the tub/shower area no matter what was tried. We needed extra towels to mop-up the water. It was extremely difficult to climb in and out of the tub to take a shower. There was no handrail to assist with the getting in and out. An elderly couple would not find this situation to be acceptable - it is dangerous.

Ideal Location
Location, Cleanliness, Helpful service
8.7
Park Inn Hotel is ideally located in Alexanderplatz, walking distance to the TV Tower and the Dom Cathedral - underground station exactly in front of the hotel. Room not big but adequate, service was helpful and hotel is clean. Only thing is the shower door - they are transparent and in certain rooms the person in the toilet is visible through a kind of glass door. The shower thing can be a big problem if one is not that intimate with the person/s they are sharing with and the toilet thing is just not on. There is a curtain which can seperate the beds area from the showering area
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Go to the Reichstag at 8am or not later than 9am as otherwise there will be time-wasting queues and a tour inside is definitly something you don't want to miss.

Considering the very reasonable bargain price we got, this hotel was very good for me an my 8 year old son enjoying 3 days vacation in Berlin, to watch model trains and ride real ones to the various sights. Hotel is located very near rail station, S- U- bahn and trams, as well as lots of shops and restaurants if you need that. Hotel is a landmark and easy to spot and find at a distance. Rooms are small and a bit strange with the sink and bathtub directly indside the room, not separate, but all is quite modern, clean, smart-ish. Breakfast buffet (inclued in our deal) was big and OK, but very ordinary, and the scene quite crowded. Staff spoke good English. Some limited problems with noise one morning, staff apologized. All in all Park Inn is recommended if you can get a good internet bargain price, and don't need lots of space and extra comfort.

If I had the chance again I'd stay somewhere more 'European' and not as bland and unfriendly. It was bit gross with a Burger King joining the lobby. Also Alexanderplatz isn't the nicest area - I think if I stayed in Berlin again I'd stay in Friedrichstrasse or Kreuzeberg - somewhere abit less hardcore touristy.
The staff ranged from unfriendly to disinterested and slightly imcompentent.
My shower flooded leaving the carpet moist for the remainder of my stay. The staff didn't even apologise or go out of their way to reassure me the problem would be fixed.
Shopping Tip:
-loved Friedrichstrasse
-the Neue Nationalgallerie was amazing
-the Berlin Museum is great

Easy to find wherever you are in Berlin, just look up and there it is.
Quality of the rooms was great, the view was amazing.
6
They have a Skybar at the top, wich was closed due to foggy weather, a real shame. Internet access was quite expensive,
cant they just include that in the room fee nowadays?
Some of the people working, like the guy who took care of our bags on the day we checked out, must have hated us quite a bit. Seemed pretty strange, the cleaners were the nicest people.
The place Alexanderplatz, is really a tragic square, it´s so much DDR Germany, the Cold War was all over that place.
Breakfast was good, they had everything you could expect from a proper hotel breakfast .
This is a business/tourist hotel in all it´s glory, dont expect anything out of the ordinary, I would choose a smaller and more cosy hotel if ever go back to Berlin.
Travel tip:
The skybar at the top of the hotel is supposed to be great.

Fantastic Views of Berlin from rooms
Friendly Staff
Great Breakfast
9.3
We drove to Berlin and didnt even need a map to find the hotel. Being right besisde the TV tower makes it remarkably easy to find. When we arrived the reception staff were extremely friendly and my requsest for a high floor had worked well because we were on the top floor with extensive views of Berlin.Room was very comfortable especially bed although 2 pillows each would have been nice.Bathroom was very large.Breakfast in the morning was very extensive catering for both English and Continental tastes.Overall a very comfortable stay
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The TV tower is a must especially the restaurant.Expensive but a must...

We had a real good time in Berlin
Great location, clean and practical room, good Breakfast, fast c/i and c/o, everything you need for a quick visit in a town, nice staff, you get what you are paid for, even a bit more

We read a lot of reviews and decided to book via agoda the park Inn Hotel for our short visit in Berlin. We have to say, we were really happy. Great location, I guess lucky with the c/i and c/o because we didn't have to wait at all. The room on the 8th floor was perfectly fine for our needs. Clean, dbl. bed, N/S, with bathtub and shower, enough TV channels, good HSK service, Breakfast was incl. in our booking and we enjoyed it and it gave us a great start for the day. Everybody will find something. Around the hotel you will find even at 1:00am still places to eat something, you can walk within 15 to 20 min. to a lot of Berlin's great sights. Do the City tour by bus or visit one of thousands museums. By the time we come back to Berlin we will come back to the PARK INN HOTEL. Always remember: You will get what you pay for and here we got more than we expected. Thank you
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Do the Bus tour and leave wherever you want. Visit the hotel de Rome next to the "Deutsche Staatsoper" for a drink or even a great dinner. Try the "Museums Kaffee" next to the Museum of German history and try one of their cakes. Well I guess there are thousands of other things to do in a city like Berlin

The bathroom was more or less the same, but we could live with this. And the bed, despite being a double mattress again had 2 single duvets - this just could be a German preference.
So the stay was ok, quite disappointing. The only lowpoint of visiting Berlin. We had high hopes after looking at the website images and from a recommendation of a local friend. The experience would've been better if we had a functioning room in the first place. A safe that doesn't open fully is absolutely ridiculous.
The breakfast was nice though and its proximity to Alexanderplaz are the only good things about it.
The concierge working at the time was a standout in customer service, as he went out of his way to help us move to our new room, though we feel he's the exception to the norm. Definitely not coming back!

Ace Berlin Location
Awesome location, nice hotel, good rooms, TV with Sky news, friendly/helpful staff, good breakfast!!

What a great location in the center of the former East Berlin, right next to the TV Tower. The hotel is an iconic building as it is the biggest hotel/building in the center of town. Perfect for our family trip!
At Christmas time you have markets literally on your doorstep. transport is so easy and we just taxi's or the 100 bus. Despite the pound being weak against the euro we still managed to spend relatively little.
A fabulous breakfast in the huge breakfast dining room. We also enjoyed a nice round of hot chocolates in the lounge bar.
All in all it was a super trip!
