I thoroughly recommend the Alte Thorschenke.
It is central and well positioned for the town centre. It is full of character and antiquities and a pleasure to stay in. PS - the oil-painted portrait on the first floor landing is not for the squeemish but adds to the great atmosphere!!!

Room renovation was: Wallpaper broke away from the wall, hit the carpet wrinkles due to very heavy wear, inside the bathroom door was filthy, television had to be restarted after no more than 15 minutes, since this flared up due to his age. Although I had requested Allergy Cases bed, feather beds were available (bed springs, I am allergic) Unfreundlicher reception during the day. The towels were removed during breakfast, so that a hand-washing, or even a shower after 9:00 was no longer possible. Very poor value for money. In the room (it smelled kitchen was directly below me) and I heard how the meat was a knock (it was very uncomfortable, because these noises lasted until 23.00
If the room (in bed, I felt every single Matrazenfeder) in the same state would be like the hotel, we could be satisfied. The excellent Frühstücksbüfet with very friendly staff stands in stark contrast to the other hotel services. Contrast: Reception unfriendly and inflexible during the day, at night, and courteous to the guest bemüht.Vorschlag: the hotel should be like in other houses, assess the Gat on the spot!
