It's an Art Hotel, it's really nice, in a quiet neighborhood.
The Hotel is located outside the center, but there's Subway near.
The Hotel is really good, the design is simple and modern. The restaurant has a really nice design, the breakfast is very good, lots of variety. The room is comfortable, with a nice double bed, has a nice mini-bar. The Staff is really nice, very helpful. In terms of quality-price is worth it. The only thing is that it's not near the center, but it does have a subway station near, tickets aren't that cheap, but there's always trains and is very quick. You're in the center in less than 10 minutes.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Besides the Cathedral, also a place to visit is the Art Museum, a bit confusing and expensive, but still nice.

Great breakfast buffet, nice staff, rooms are stylish. Just 5 min walking from the Bahn (speedtram). Free parking.
Me and my friends always use this hotel when we go for a short trip to Koln. Its nice, clean, staff is friendly and can inform you well abouth trips or way to use public transport. Extra in the room while we stayed there during Christmas Markettime: chocolat Santa Claus. They also offfer free fruit in the lobby. These small things makes you feel at home!

the hotel is nice - now they also opened a new 'wing" with more luxurious rooms at a extra price ofcourse. still the price is good for the value you get.
