I had a good rest in this hotel for a small money (I was booking a room with discount). I like this hotel for it's location: about 2 min by walk from central station (Cologne HBf), a good view from window (at the
The Cologne Cathedral), clean room and a friendly staff. Can’t say about eat because my booking was without breakfast.
Surprise was a cool air in the room and a cold floor. Perhaps, it’s very subjective but I can’t make a temperature in the room higher (climate control not working).
However, I got a good impressions after visit this hotel.

Its a good location hotel
the location is very close to dom, the room size is enough for us two people

we arrived in the afternoon, although the hotel is not cross to Cologne main station but its easy to find that. Hotel is clean, staff is also friendly. But one thing I have to mention is the water from shower cabin leaks to the restroom floor which make all the restroom wet, its kind of uncomfortable.

we stayed there for one night. this hotel cannot be called a five star hotel. one of the two phones in the room was broken. both of the cups in the room had crack lines on them. we called the hotel service for the problems we met, and they said they would change the cups, but finally failed to do so.
it is a very dissapointing experience.

Hotel was very clean and well stituated. Walking distance from Koln train station. Only problem that it was slightly tcuked away behind other buildings. Nevertheless, was very convinent to walk to train station and the Christmas markets.
Hotel staff provided warm hospitatlity throughout our stay there.
Lots of restaturants and eateries nearby the hotel. Souvenior shops are also easily found. Walking distance to shopping distance and musem.

Location is excellent, but management is not great

The location of the hotel is excellent, right next to the station and right by the Cathedral, and within easy walk to the Christmas markets, which is why I came.
Unfortunately, the hotel fell short for Hilton standards in my opinion, or maybe their standards have dropped. - I was booked into a twin room (as I was traveling with my mother), and we were given a King size bed, with no apology on check-in from the supervisor who gave us our room after the girl who was trying to check us in asked for help, and it wasn't until we complained that anything was done about. - I was giving a small rollaway bed which was so uncomfortable, I didn't get any sleep that night. - For dinner we ordered room service pizza, which was late, and burnt (so much so that I took a picture of it!). The original price of the small burnt pizza and 2 small sprites was 27 Euro, before I asked them to remove the service charge due to the delay. Quite frankly, I would have had better quality from Pizza hut.
Also, the design of the room was poor, with a fogged floor to ceiling window from the bathroom to the bedroom directly in front of the toilet, meaning when your partner goes to the toilet in the night, the whole room lights up and wakes the other person up.
Also, aside from the trainee that checked me in (who was the only aspect I couldn't fault), no one smiled at all. - Obviously not very happy to work there.
Shopping Tip:
Christmas Markets are brilliant.

the hotel is very conveniently located around the corner from the train station and the dom. however, it's situated in the opposite direction from the city center/main shopping area and so is a little on the outskirts of the main tourist drag. service is very pleasant and efficient. rooms are nice if a little on the smallish side. i found the internet to be extremely expensive and highly unreliable, which, of course, might be a problem for a business traveler. beware that you can't see the cathedral from most rooms in the hotel.
