Nice and clean hotel just outside the real citycentre. But this hotel is located close enough to reach the Altstad and city centre by walking. Or you can take the U-Bahn which is located just beside the hotel. The staff is real friendly and the food is good. We stayed here for bussines and enjoyed the stay.

• Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : You have to go to the Altstad to visit the Dom and the nice reastaurants, for tipical food of Cologne you have to go to the "Haxenhaus" located in the Altstad on the Rein.

We enjoyed our stay in the Mercure Severinshof, the staff was very friendly and the food was great. This hotel is located close to the Altstadt, which can be easily reached by walking. The hotel has got a nice and clean fitness and also a very good restaurant and a bar.

We didn't like the noise of the public works (U-Bahn). But we think this will be finished on a short term.

• Nightlife Tip : You have to go to the Friesenstrasse/platz, there is the real nightlife of cologne. A lot of people go to the Altstadt but that's real touristic, but when you plan to be there, you have to go to Papa Joe's Jazzclub or Biersalon.

Very noisy outside due to construction, but this is not really hotel's fault, hopefully it'll be much quieter when that constriction is over
