Two calls to UK, totalling less than 10 minutes were charged at 48 Euros. Noting that the cost to the hotel should have been no more than 2 or 3 Euros, this is simple extortion. Putting the charges in the small print in the room information pack is no excuse, especially when they are structured to increase, per minute, as the call gets longer. We know that using land-line phoines in hotels is always expensive. But a profit of 1000% is ridiculous.
