Gem of a hotel - classy, stylish & convenient
Lovely included breakfast, can be reached by tram, nice room with hard back books on architecture

this hotel is a real find. just around the corner there is a wonderful bakery which also sells the best coffee and there is a lovely delicatessen shop close by. it is situated on a real german residential street and the subway to the centre is a 5 to 10 minute walk away; this will take you to the frankfurt opera and one of the smaller christmas markets as well as a big department store.
it can easily be reached from the airport. the 4.20 euro ticket will take you on both rhe train and the tram to get you to the art hotel. you can take a metro (s-bahn in german) to frankfurt railway mainstation (hauptbahnhof). please leave the train station through the main entrance which will lead you straight to the tram (streetcar). tram 16 (direction ginnheim) or tram 17 (direction rebstockbad). leave the tram at the fifth station (station varrentrapstraße). from there, follow the schloßstraße for approximately 300 meters and then turn left into the robert-mayer-straße. the hotel is on the right side (number 44). should there be any problems, you may call the owner and they are ready to meet you at the railway station. just in case, the telephone number of the arthotel is: 069 9709 100.
excellent value for money, i would definitely stay there again. the art hotel is modern, clean and has character.
Travel tip:
This hotel can be reached easily by train and tram, and you can go into town on the underground, so no need for expensive taxis.
